Privacy Policy

This policy explains what personal information TaazaExpress collects when you use our website or place an order, why we need it, and the choices you have.

Last updated 12 October 2026 · Effective from 1 February 2026

1.Who we are

TaazaExpress (“Taaza”, “we”, “us”) is operated by Taaza Fresh Foods Pvt Ltd, a company registered in India with its office at Sector 57, Golf Course Extension Road, Gurugram, Haryana 122003. We sell fresh chicken, mutton, fish, seafood and eggs and deliver them to residential societies in Gurugram.

This policy applies to taazaexpress.com, our installable web app, and any order you place with us by phone or WhatsApp. It is written to comply with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and the Information Technology Act, 2000.

2.Information we collect

We ask only for what we need to take, prepare and deliver your order.

  • Contact details. Your name, mobile number and, if you choose to give it, an email address.
  • Delivery address. The society you live in, your tower or block, floor and flat number.
  • Order details. What you bought, the cut and quantity, the delivery slot you picked, any coupon used, and any notes you leave for our delivery staff.
  • Payment status. Whether a payment succeeded, failed or was refunded. We do not see or store your card number, CVV, UPI PIN or net-banking password.
  • Device information. IP address, browser type and basic usage logs, which help us keep the site secure and working properly.

3.How we use it

We use your information to:

  1. prepare your order to the cut and weight you selected;
  2. deliver it to your flat at the time you chose;
  3. send order confirmations and delivery updates by SMS, WhatsApp or email;
  4. handle refunds, replacements and complaints;
  5. prevent fraud and misuse of coupons or cash-on-delivery; and
  6. meet our obligations under tax and food-safety law.

We will only send you promotional messages if you have agreed to receive them, and you can stop them at any time by replying STOP or writing to us.

4.Society entry and delivery

Most societies we serve use a visitor-management system such as MyGate or NoBrokerHood. To get our delivery staff through the gate, we share your tower and flat number with the society’s security desk, and your name where the system requires it.

Your phone number is shared with the person delivering your order for the duration of that delivery only. Your name and number are not printed on the outside of the packaging.

5.Payments

Online payments are handled by RBI-authorised, PCI-DSS compliant payment gateways (currently Cashfree). Your card and bank details are entered on the gateway’s secure page and are never sent to our servers. We receive only a transaction reference and the payment result.

6.Who we share it with

We do not sell or rent your personal information, and we do not share it with advertisers. We share it only with:

  • our delivery staff and logistics partners, to complete your delivery;
  • the security desk of your society, as described in section 4;
  • payment gateways, to process your payment;
  • SMS, WhatsApp and email service providers, to send you order updates; and
  • government or law-enforcement bodies, when we are legally required to.

Each of these parties may use your information only for the purpose we shared it for.

7.Cookies and local storage

We use a small number of essential cookies and your browser’s local storage to remember the society you selected, keep items in your cart, and keep you signed in. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.

You can clear these at any time from your browser settings. If you do, you will need to select your society again and your cart will be emptied.

8.How long we keep it

We keep your account details for as long as your account is active. Order and invoice records are kept for eight years, as required under the Goods and Services Tax Act. If you delete your account, we remove your personal details from our active systems within 30 days, keeping only what the law requires us to retain.

9.Your rights

Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 you may ask us to:

  • tell you what personal information we hold about you;
  • correct details that are wrong or out of date;
  • delete your account and personal information; and
  • stop sending you marketing messages.

To make a request, write to the grievance officer below from the mobile number or email linked to your account. We may ask you to confirm your identity before acting on it.
